Researcher at the Management Secretariat of Stockholm University
The Management Secretariat at Stockholm University, together with the Planning Secretariat and the Legal Secretariat, forms the Rector's Office.
The secretariat consists of just over 20 employees. The overarching mission of the Management Secretariat is to provide direct support to the university management in both operational management-related and university-wide strategic issues. The mission includes preparation, investigation, and coordination.

Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a researcher interested in the development of the higher education sector, who wants to work with qualified tasks centrally at a higher education institution. The work is varied and may consist of issues specific to the university or to higher education institutions in general.
The Management Secretariat receives a wide variety of questions concerning the entire university, where overarching preparation or coordination is needed. This reflects your job responsibilities, which may involve preparing various materials for decisions or meetings.
For you as a researcher, the tasks include investigations and analysis. You will actively participate in the development of strategically important documents for Stockholm University and analyze research at a broad level.
An important part of the work concerns university-wide research issues of various kinds, such as texts related to research in the budget documentation and annual reports. You will participate in the preparation of matters for Rufus, the rector's advisory body on research issues. This also includes the university's central quality assurance of research, including dialogues and reports. University-wide educational issues, where investigation or preparation of information may also be relevant, may arise.
The work is carried out in close collaboration and involves many contacts with departments, area offices, and other administrative departments, as well as university management.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- relevant academic education of at least three years
- very good knowledge of the current development and conditions of the higher education sector
- several years of experience working at a higher education institution or a related organization
- several years of experience working with investigations, coordination, and preparation of organization-wide issues
- experience working with overarching research issues, including knowledge of research policy
- documented very good skills in written communication.
Meritorious are:
- experience working with quality assurance in higher education
- doctoral education.
The tasks require an analytical and efficient working method, as well as the ability to work both proactively and sensitively towards the environment. Furthermore, you are a responsible person with good collaborative skills and good communication abilities. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
About the Employment
The position is full-time and is temporary until 2027-03-31. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement, preferably as soon as possible.
